- Email marketing is still free. As of this writing, email is one of the cheapest marketing methods around, and in many cases it is almost free! There are many free email services on the Internet that you can use, but if you know how to use the email program that’s on your computer you won’t even need an email service.
- You can use email as frequently as you like. As a real estate agent, you can send email to clients and prospects on a daily basis if you desire. Think about the marketing frequency that would give you provided that you have something of value to tell your subscribers.
- Collecting email addresses from business contacts and prospects is easy. If you are showing a house, you should always have a method of collecting email addresses from people you show the property to. If you are just casually meeting people, you can tell them that you have an email newsletter with valuable information in it that you would like to send to them as a free gift. When you are personable and have properly acquainted yourself with the individuals that you meet, they will be happy to give you their email address.

If you use an email service like Aweber you can send your messages in a variety of ways. Not only can you can send messages in the usual black and white format, but you can also them in send full color, newsletter style pieces that look like professional publications. The messages can also contain pictures and graphics and you can easily send pictures of properties that you are representing.
Despite all of the great benefits of using email, there is somewhat of a downside to using this tool. First of all, email marketing requires work. Keeping email addresses organized and in a data base are important as well as writing effective and valuable messages, formatting messages and keeping a professional look. Also, you need to respond to every email that you receive as promptly as you can. Try to keep in mind that everything that you write might be read and scrutinized. Because email is fairly easy to use, it does not mean that people won’t view what you send them with a critical eye. Try to be professional as you can whenever you send a message.
If you use email correctly it can be one of the most powerful real estate marketing tools available to you. It is inexpensive, fast in delivery, while enabling you to market yourself frequently, which is why I am grateful for a great marketing tool like email.

I was wondering why email hasn’t gone out as a method of selling things on the Internet. I hate getting all of these timed sales letters almost everyday. My in box gets so full of them and if one person emails me a dozen are soon to follow. I think most people are selling these name lists once they get them.
You are right about this I have a database of email addresses that I have been using for years. You need to get a program like mailloop to send out multiple emails at once. I heard Aweber is good too.
